Work During Non-Work Time of Public Employees

Purpose: Employees and their work during non-work time are affected bytechnology development, societal changes other factors that havean inherent impact on the employees’ attitude towards nonworktime. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview upto-date research employees performing time.Design/Methodology/Approach: main methodological approachused in a systematic literature review 18 scientific articlesfound citation databases WOS, Scopus, etc. collected literatureis relevant as it encompasses both quantitative qualitative analysesto gather insights time.Findings: results imply growingphenomenon among public no exception.Regarding socio-demographic groups affected, findings indicatethat particularly common for inmanagerial positions professionals education, health policeservices, well engaged remote work. They alsoconfirm at different times ofthe day, weekends, annual sick leave.Practical Implications: especially employeesdue increased use information communication technology.As such, they also exposed intensifying work-related expectationsand requests/pressures flexible arrangements.Originality/Value: originality topic reflected underrepresentationof performance duringnon-work employees.
